My report about my placement at Embrace - Leni B.

I am attending a placement in the media section of Embrace.
My work starts at 9:00 in the morning and I finish at 5:00 pm. I have to manage and update the blog about our group together with Julia. We visit the members of our group at their placements and write reports about their work. Furthermore Julia and me work on our own art project which is an contribution to the existing Life Dreams Project.

I learnt how to create a blog in the internet and in addition to that I gained some new skills working with graphic programs like Photoshop. Through our field trips around London I know nearly everything about the transport system and what obstacles one has to overcome when you need to be at the right place on the right time.

When we started the blog there were some difficulties with the computer but Alex helped us and now I am more experienced in this field. Time management is also very important and I had to realize that I need to work on that because it makes my work easier.
I like to work at Embrace because there is such a nice work – atmosphere. The cooperation with the colleagues is great since there is always someone you can ask if you need any help. Moreover it is amazing to share experiences with the other people because they have so many different backgrounds and work on exciting projects. This is what makes Embrace so special – it lets you discover your own purpose of life and you realize that everything is possible.

In my opinion there is nothing better to learn a language than going abroad and study or work over there. You learn the language naturally because you have to speak to your colleagues and the management.
